Quick Taglio Popup Recap
I'm getting ready to leave for the Boston Marathon and short on time this week, so enjoy this small recap.
Last week Tony of Pizza Taglio fame returned to Pittsburgh for a one-night-only event. He made his signature pies and a huge swarm of pizza lovers came to devour. It was the Who’s Who of the pizza scene. Pizza makers, reviewers, and most importantly in this food chain, the pizza eaters.
My one takeaway was - why can’t anyone replicate the Greenpointer in this city??
The Legendary Greenpointer
Taste as good as ever.
Amazingly cooked crust, you know I love that char.
Perfect balance of sweet and heat. What alchemy!
The Adios Anoia
This was a surprise hit, the day was hot and this was refreshing.
The ricotta was the star of the show here, very ricotta forward.
Zucchini provided nice texture and coolness.
Okay that’s it for this week. I’m off to Boston where maybe I’ll finally get to eat that famous pizza from the lass known as Regina. If you have other recommendations from anywhere between Boston and Hopkinton let me know. Area 4 is one other place I’ve enjoyed.
Pizza ya later!
