La Grazza & '77 Club Pizza Pop-Ups On the Horizon
This weekend you can visit the '77 Club at Two Frays while La Grazza is taking over the Vandal
Hi there!
Short pizza update this week. Not feeling too hot, so doing what I can.
Join the ‘77 Club at Two Frays this Sunday
Alright so last week I wrote about my adventure to the ‘77 Club. It was amazing, mystifying, thrilling and, ultimately, satisfying. The pizza was unlike anything you can get in this area and a lot of people reached out to me eager to join the ‘77 Club
Good news! You can visit them this coming Sunday at Two Frays where they’ll be serving up Panuozzos. A pizza sandwich. They look divine and I’ll be dragging my family out there to try these out. They’ll be there from 1-5pm. Peep their menu here.
La Grassa Corner Slice Extravaganza
The Vandal is hosting its second Detroit Style pizza pop-up this coming June 2nd. Years ago they let Michigan & Trumbull take over the restaurant for a pop-up that had a line of people out the door, the crew was incredibly overwhelmed and Anthony Badamo had to start folding boxes to keep things afloat. It was a real community effort.
On June 2nd the ever mysterious La Grassa will be taking over the Vandal. La Grassa makes Detroit style pizza and their motto is “Everyone get’s a corner slice.”If you love crispy pizza, this should be up your alley.
Reservations are full, but you can always join the waitlist. I’ve reached out to La Grassa multiple times to get their story, but they’ve been evading me. Shy? Not interested in me? Too busy to chat? Who can say, but looking forward to trying out their corner-slice-only pizza June 2nd. They seem to have gone all-in on merchandising so they must have grand plans for growth coming up.
Alright, short and sweet but stay tuned for more great pizza news. Hope you have a few hotdogs this weekend.
Pizza ya later!
